On-demand Write-Protection
WiebeTech provides courtroom-ready write-blockers with products such as Forensic UltraDock and Forensic RTX. Interestingly, we've had requests from another sector, the business world, to bring this feature to an enclosure, with the power to turn it on and off at will. By enabling top-bay or bottom-bay write-protection via switches on the front of the enclosure, you can read the contents of the drive with no danger of modifying the contents.

This feature allows you to create a 'toolbox' disk containing anti-virus software, ISO disk image files, or bootable Linux partitions with diagnostics tools - to repair a drive's master boot record, for example.
Repairs and Installations made painless
The last thing you want to do after creating your "toolbox on a disk" is to connect it unprotected to a virus ridden machine - this is typically why CDs & DVDs are used. Optical media, however, feels like it gets smaller every day. RTX220-QJp makes it easy to create a diagnostics drive - as large as you need it to be - to use on any workstation while remaining confident that the contents will not change as long as it's in write-protect mode.
Safely Manipulate Client Data
Photographers, Videographers, and other digital professionals are often given a drive full of a client's data to work with. It's disasterous to accidentally erase or save over a master file. Many professionals use optical media such as CDs and DVDs to protect themselves from accidentally saving over a master file. CDs and DVDs, by today's standards, are slow and of limited capacity. RTX200-QJp, on the other hand, is fast, gives you plenty of storage space, and can write-protect your drives easily.
IT Sleuths Rejoice
Many companies have already adopted WiebeTech forensic gear for performing internal investigations. RTX200-QJp is a solution with the IT sector in mind. With it, search a hard disk for policy violations, or look for master documents that a particular employee was in charge of - which may need discovering when employees are terminated.
Be aware that because you can turn off write-protection, this is not a forensic product. If you do need a forensic product, we encourage you to look at our line of trusted 100% write-blocked forensic gear, such as Forensic UltraDock. While many forensic users need to be able to stand up in court and testify that the tool they used is "100% completely unable to write to the hard drive," day-to-day businesses can feel comfortable with RTX220-QJp performing similar eDiscovery tasks, and use it for other IT tasks.
TrayFree™ Trayless Technology for RTX™ Enclosures
WiebeTech's TrayFree bays are a breeze to add a drive to. It really is as easy as opening the door, sliding the drive in, and closing the door. No screws, no trays, it just works.
All RTX JBOD models, including RTX220-QJp, can easily swap drives between each other. This means that you can move a whole drive (up to 2TB) of data as easily as moving a drive from one unit to another. We have 1 bay, 2 bay, and 4 bay JBOD models.
